Agree. GT4 Cup before RS.

I feel mildly dumb, but I just put my name on a list. Managed 3rd at a large dealership. Being #2 for the GT4 for over a year and still no allocation has put a sour taste in my mouth for waiting and makes me feel like for any future Porsche that I may want, even ones that dont exist, I have to try to play this retarded game of "me first!"

I dunno, but I'm #2 at the dealer for one if it happens. Missed the GT4.

I turned my #2 gt4 spot into the #1 gt4rs when I heard no pdk. I also had just bought a cayman GTS so I have no need for a new car at the moment. I am betting that they will make a RS but 100% ready to cope with my GTS if I am wrong.

I really would be most happy with a GTS with the bigger engine in it. I am surprised that Porsche doesn't make all the GT cars with the same (or very similar) engine/transmission and make the GT# versions the lightweight hardcore (suspension and aero) cars and the GTS versions for sissies like me that want a nice stereo. I bet there are a lot of sissies like me that would be happier with this type of GTS.

I am no.1 at our dealer, but was told there was a release from someone at PCNA, that while they said the car was a "possibility" in the past, as of 2 days ago, it is a definite "NO"

I hope my dealer is wrong.

Default RS is a go

was at the dealer today to get my GT4 config sorted and he told me the RS is a go.

it looks like it will have around 430 HP and likely the thus the powerkit as well as some weight savings.

125k range...

Not doubting he has been correct so far, but seriously think of what it would mean for him to truly be in the know here. Not just in the know but knowledgeable about very specific details about it's specs.

We are talking about a car that Porsche management has only hinted about at as a thought, and an unlikely one at that.

Your dealer would have you believe that they have actually decided to make the car, determined the specs, and then shared that information with ONE, and only ONE trusted dealer in the US.

Not likely. I guess stranger things have happened.

Not to mention $5k less than GT3 with a motor making 45hp less and nowhere near as developed as the 9k redline dry-sump GT3 motor. Would be horrible marketing as well as unlikely.

385 to 430 HP seems like too large a jump as well.

That does not seem like a big jump to me because that is what the power kit is advertised as on the s engine. I think for gt4rs would be advertised 420hp in reality. I highly doubt we will see one until after 981 refresh with 981.2 gt4 out for a couple years.

Again, my take on the GT4, is that there will be no "RS" version.
Any talk about a GT4RS is most likely the GT4 cup track only version which maybe dubbed GT4R or GT4RS.

Porsche is not looking to badge any street car as 'RS' other then the GT3.
They are carefull to maintain the RS badge for their top GT car and not stick it on multiple models i would think....
