Not that this means anything, but AP was quoted at Geneva as saying, there "could" be a GT4RS....
That's getting taken out of context all over the internet. I'm not quoting him but what he said (you can find the actual interview in the GT4 forum) that they hadn't really thought about it but that they could. He also talked about how the GT4 came about because they listened to the desires of the customers. I took it as him saying one isn't planned but if there is enough of a groundswell of interest they would consider it.
Some take that to mean they already have one in the works. I don't believe that to be true. The Cayman Cup will max their production capabilities and be more profitable. IF an RS is coming it won't be until after the facelift in 2 years. It might also be a 4 cylinder turbo, which would push them to drop a couple hundred pounds off the current GT4 to gain performance.
The GT4 Cup or "factory race car" makes sense. I don't think a street version RS is viable, because any more performance and Porsche would be shooting their own GT3 in the foot.
