Default 981 GT4 Buying advise

Hello everyone! I'm new and looking for advice on my next purchase, a 981 GT4.

I prefer the "rawness" and sound of the 981, and although I can't ignore the fact that the 718 looks cooler and more technological, not being interested in PDK and being strictly obliged to keep the OPFs, I don't consider the latest. And I can also save about 20k, which is not that bad
Unfortunately the short production run of this model (which is good for other reasons), and the small market where I live (Switzerland) limits the choice, especially in terms of colors/specs, so I have to adapt to what I find on the market. Importing from EU is not convenient at all.
I'm looking for a low mileage car (max 20k km/12k miles), the only MANDATORY requirement is bucket seats, I don't really care about everything else. The PA warranty is also a must-have.

So, is there anything I need to pay particular attention to? What are the red flags for this specific model? Are all cars subject to the gearbox recall, and is this something I need to specifically ask for?
I am a little worried about the PCCBs, is it better to avoid them so as not to incur crazy expenses for spare parts?
The most important point: can I ask for the rev report before purchase? Is this a common request, or would it sound strange to the seller?

Feel free to add any feedback/advice, I would really appreciate it.

Thanks in advance, and Happy Easter for those who celebrate it.

Definitely ask for the DME report. We were looking at a super low mileage 981 (under 3k) and got the report and it had a range 5 within the last few operating hours. We ran away from that one, it's still for sale and they have not dropped the price $114,999. Due diligence now will pay off with a better car. Good luck on your search.

Yes, they still claim that it's CPO'd.

lol. they actually gave one to you?! I asked for the CPO/DME report on that weeks ago and it was radio silence. Knew something was up when it dropped out of the CPO search and sits in the used section now.

yeah I called about that one as well. I’m shocked they even took the car with that DME report.

I'm glad they at least fixed the lower trim on the front bumper. They're either gonna take a hit on that car or find a clueless buyer for it. That thing must've been trashed for the 2k miles it was driven.

I saw that one too. I guess NYC roads aren't that easy on the low GT4. Too bad about the range 5, its a good looking car spec wise, all be it over priced.

BTW, the 981 GT4 was only available in white/black/red/yellow solid paint, and silver/blue metallic, right? Quite a poor color palette indeed.

Thanks, nice to see that it was also offered in beautiful Carmine red, too bad that in my small country there are very few cars for sale and almost all white.
Almost impossible to find a PTS (and I don't even want to imagine how much they would ask...).

I just came across this thread in mentioning that Silver GT4 being sold by the dealer in New York. So funny because I actually spent the money to have that car PPI’d. Best $900 ever spent. Saved me from a huge sight unseen mistake. Car was a track rat. Rubber stuck in exterior trim panels. PPF was cut terribly and the installer had cut the paint. Interior carpet had holes. I’m curious what happened to that car. This was back in August/September of 2023.
