I just had some additional suspension parts installed, RSS thrust arms, caster pucks and LCA monoballs. Had the car aligned by the shop who did the install, and Im afraid it doesnt look right. Specifically the caster looks off. I was assuming my caster should be at 8.5-9ish. I spoke to the shop, and they assured me 11 degrees of caster is acceptable. I feel like Im going to rub at the track under compression. Anyone have any pointers? Im leaning towards getting my car realigned bu another shop.
I agree that you have too much caster but it may not rub. With the parts you had installed it should be easy to adjust correctly. Did you add rear toe links?

thats what I thought. I wasnt sure if my mind was playing tricks on me and I had confirmation bias once I saw the alignment sheet. Also, I have toe links and LCA monoballs in the rear too.
Looks to me like your shop is clueless on how to install/align the caster pucks. 10 will not rub but I'm not sure if 11+ will. Those wheels look way too much forward in the well. Not only that but that setup will also inhibit your turn-in on track. Look at this analogy from the motorcycle world: Sport vs chopper. Which one will be easier to turn.

That would be a redo for me.
thanks and I thought so. It really confused me when the shop tried to say that those settings were fine. Good to hear from two experienced guys on this.
Its right on the sheet LOL. And of course the service manual
More helpfully this is what my car came with which includes 17mm front shims and 12mm rear shims (RSS rear toe links). Supposedly set up by a guy from Pfaff.
Note that these are in degrees and minutes. So 10° +/- 30 == 9.5-10.5

strange my dealer said caster from factory was 8.5-9. Thanks for the info.
