Default WTB: Carmine GT4

Hi rennlist

I'm interested in purchasing a well taken care of carmine red GT4. Must have LWB. Platinum wheels preferred.
I am not looking for a low mileage collector car. I'd rather pay less for a higher mileage car. My budget is in the low 80s. Ready to move for the right car.

I'm located in northern NJ. Thanks for your help!
Al

You have good taste. Carmine Red was my second choice, and I'm not even a red car guy.

There is a nice CPO car that fits your bill, but sounds over budget. I don't think there many cars in the low 80's, or certainly wasn't when I bought mine 2 months ago.

thanks. Would you mind sharing where you saw it?

im ok with no cpo

today I took a look at 2 GT4. One was very rough and overpriced. The other was super clean, ppf everywhere, carbon buckets, 17k miles. Dealer was going to let it go for 82. It was not Porsche certified.
....but it was silver. Really hoping to find a carmine red one.

A friend of mine just found a REALLY nice one but very low mileage and way out of your budget... and it isn't for sale. Not sure you'd find what you want for 80...

I was asking $85k for mine early this year but decided not to sell. Since then seems like cars similar to mine are trading closer to $90k.

Thanks for all the info guys. I feel there is a wide spectrum for GT4 that ranges from $71k (there's a thread here where someone bought a 40k mile one) to $100k. I feel i have a reasonable budget and expectations for a car that:
  • has buckets
  • has mileage in the mid/high teens
  • is not certified
Today I was offered a car with all the above for low 80s. It just wasn't carmine... The hunt continues.

Carmine was a $3500 option, so generally those cars have higher MSRPs, which are reflecting in higher used prices. Give it a year, bet prices soften again.

I thought the car was rough. The rear bumper cover has been hit and damaged in two spots. It would need a replacement not just a repaint.

the car is modded. It has an aftermarket exhaust. I am ok with that. In the front trunk was a Cobb accessport and brand new set of ferrodos

it drove ok. I suspect it had track pads on it as the brakes had a scary lack of bite until warm. The salesman was unable to confirm what pads were on the car or if the accessport was installed.

If the rear had not been hit I’m sure we could have come to an agreement.

I try and do two HPDEs a year. So it will be on a track, but not a dedicated track car.
