Does the new 718 CS intake use the larger 82mm TB or retain the 74mm?

A buddy of mine and I made the trip to visit Rick yesterday and my life is changed forever. First I would like to first acknowledge that Deman Motorsport is an absolutely amazing operation and further just as mentioned previously Rick, Meaghan and their dog were very gracious hosts. I originally contacted Rick to pick his brain about doing a set of intake runners along with other supporting intake bits plus a custom tune for my gt4. After Rick shared his endless amount of dyno data with us it became apparent that the incremental power gain if any was not worth the investment on just the intake. In order to capitalize on the intake I would need the x51 cams as well. Rick showed us data upon data of every possible configuration that he's tried. We were already impressed but then Rick takes us for rides in his car and was then kind enough to let me behind the wheel. It is an absolute monster. The torque and instant throttle response the 4.5 generates is insane. The power delivery was so smooth that it felt like Porsche built that car. The motor is a beast. I have had a 991 Carrera GTS, a .2 gt3, and a .2 turbo and none of my previous cars pull like it. The car does it effortlessly. After last night I don't see any other power mod worth doing other than the 4.5 motor. Now the big question is how do I get one in my car. Lol

Gonna go out on a limb here and say you have Rick transform your car for you.

This thread is bad news for me and my wallet...

Seems pretty easy to get one....just drop it off or use Rick's shipping setup which is insanely convenient

I also want to thank Rick for his time last night and we know how get them into our cars, @ArtF10 the real question is when is this happening?

@Indepth if this thread is bad for your wallet do not take a ride in Rick's car.

I’m getting this done when my stock motor ages to 60k (at 30k right now) the power gains are phenomenal at every single rpm but it still costs $30k so in my mind I still need additional justification in terms of power and $$$ ratio. I wouldn’t even mind shelling out for new case halves if the cylinder walls are top scored at 60k miles. Imagine putting 30k in upgrading a turbocharged car

$30k now or later, same money but if you do it now that'll be 30k more miles and however many more years you get to enjoy 500hp! So, really, on a per mile/smile/day basis the 4.5L gets cheaper the sooner you do it.

Any tall bridges near the shop? At least I can see the 4.5 before I jump. Just checked a stock I sold because it tanked after "beating" earnings, has since doubled since I sold it 3 months ago...would have been enough profit to order "the works", and still have change.

Count me in for this—Rick just finished throwing a GT3 exhaust on mine, so while I might not have the ponies, I can still bring a decent soundtrack 💪🏼
