First time potential Porsche buyer, critique the car I want to buy
Hi Everyone,
I just sold my Lotus Exige S240 so I'm in the market for a GT4. Only options I really want is a skittles color and the LWB seats. I'm located in Los Angeles and within 500 miles this seems to be the "cheapest" car with low miles and and a clean title. Anyone see anything wrong with it or something I should ask the dealer?

Nice car overall. Has good options for the price. Tail lights have been changed to GTS spec tails. Also it appears the car has been lowered in the front. Car had a $95.5K MSRP. Nice options.

That dealer seems to specialize in good price GT cars. My good friend here in Atlanta just bought a Spyder for $70,000 and it is on a transporter on its way here, arriving tomorrow. To be fair, it has 21k miles and has a replaced bumper cover from a parking-lot-speed hit (full documentation provided.) PPI was flawless. Ask was $79,000, if that gives you any insight into negotiability.
EDIT: never mind, I just asked my friend and he got the Spyder at the Penske Ferrari dealership in Scottsdale. I was pretty sure it was Galleria, but nope.

The car does look like it's been lowered. Something that you may want to change , seeing it will make it easier for the suspension to bottom out and possibly breaking the strut tower on a pothole . Carl

"Cheap" is both relative and absolute. In this car's case, it might be cheap on an absolute basis, but I don't believe it approaches cheap on a relative basis. The ask is ~92% of MSRP with almost 10k miles and I have seen many more GT4s with much greater values, i.e. higher MSRPs with lower miles and lower ask as percent of MSRP (and the difference between your ask here and the others is a relatively small $ amount). Personally, I would keep looking as there are a ton of GT4s available. Also, buying one with CPO is added value and not necessarily added cost and CPOs are voided when sold by a non-Porsche dealer (cars sold by individuals retain CPO but not so with indy dealers).

Lower MSRP cars will command a higher % of their original MSRP than high MSRP cars because most options aren't as valuable on resale.
That said, this car seems fine based on the pictures, but to find out if there is any story, you have to ask the dealer and maybe run an over-rev report. Seems to be optioned just fine (this cars don't need much at all).

Don't know. Comes back clean. It has been listed on Car gurus for 219 days and that dealer has had it for 92. Other than being yellow I can't find anything to worry about without a PPI and a look at the over rev report.

I love RY but I won't buy one for the simple reason that they are hard to sell.
