Sorry but what are “intake runners”? Are we sure that Intake plenum and TB don’t add much power ?

The following thread should answer both your questions, and do so much better than I capable of doing....

A good alternative would be to keep the stock PSE and swap in an X-pipe so you can switch between regular normal tips and turn downs. Soul makes some turn downs with clamp on tips and I bet they could make a set of turndowns too....

And keep an eye on the marketplace. I purchased the headers from one member and the Cobb from another. Did the install myself. And Jamie, with Dundon, can sell you the two gaskets you need.
Appreciate the input guys. Thanks. I'm not in a rush to do this, and certainly not prepared to spend another $10k after just buying the car, but maybe as time passes and I can find some of the parts used, and could do the install possibly myself. I have a lift and a reasonable amount of skills. It usually comes down to not having one or two tools that I need, but that's just a good excuse to buy them. Still cheaper than to pay someone for the labor.

With a Lift exhaust mods are a piece of cake........on the runners (or anything on the top side of the engine) lift or no lift it's a PITA but doable.
If you do the headers please also add a stud & nut kit...don't use the OEM bolts and save yourself some headaches down the road...ask me how I know!

That is kind of what I figured......as Jeremy Clarkson would say, how hard could it be? I tend to shy away from things that take too long or get to involved, but this does seem within the realm of my skills and tools. Thanks for the advice on the studs. Probably a lot easier to swap it down the road that way also.

Our headers come with stud and nut kit, gaskets and a number of helpful install pieces...

I love this-I am the same way! Take the time, find good deals on parts and do the install yourself to know if that it was done right. Its really not that hard-I did the headers/studs on mine as well as the intake manifold-take your time and its pretty easy (it helps that I have a lift also). Any questions please let us know and we will be glad to help!

Apreciate that. It would be good to know what special tools are required and maybe some pics if you took any? Or if someone else already did a DIY write up. Picture is worth a 1000 words as they say ;-)
