I am using plates, shims and tarrets bits and was able to achieve 3.7 front (3.0 rear) ... I was running 3.2 before the GT3 shims. Tires were still wearing a bit on the outside before so I am excited to give this new alignment a try tomorrow.
I really want to stay away from the shim route. I just want a plate that can push me over -3. For this, do you think Tarett is the better route?
Not sure on that one....Using the stock LCAs inners and the maximum amount of shims + camber plates all the way inboard my car get between 3.5 and 3.6 negative up front. Before that it was 2.4-2.5 negative with just shims. So a solid -1 degree just from plates.
You would have to measure no shims, stock plates all the way inboard...then add the -1 degree of the camber plate. IMO I don't think you will get there without the shims.
And if you do go over -3 degrees shims+ plates also factor in the tension rods and LCAs solid bushings for the tension rods to bring caster back to more acceptable levels.

Please don't forget that different tire compounds are going to require or should I say tolerate different alignment settings. Keep that in mind when determining your numbers.
