Cayman GT4 Flood Car Resurrection
We have a good customer in Orlando who has been snatching up flood cars from Hurricanes Harvey & Irma, one of which was this 2016 grey GT4 with PCCB and sofa seats. The car supposedly almost completely submerged and if i can find those pics i shall post them. For the time being, the work order to create what will eventually become a 6-speed Clubsport race car clone is as follows:
- BGB Motorsports Stage 1 Power Upgrades (Custom Cobb tune, 82mm PCNA throttle body, IPD Competition Plenum, BMC air filters with Cargraphic stainless steel race exhaust manifolds and lightweight x-flow race exhaust.)
- RSS Lower Control Arm Inner Monoball Conversion with longer inner front flanges up front to achieve negative camber in excess of 3.0 degrees.
- Tarett Engineering Rear Motorsport style toe links (rear) and RSS Bumpsteer Toe Link Kit (front)
- Guard Transmission Limited Slip Differential with track setup
- Motorsport Clutch Kit (our tried and tested steel motorsport lightweight flywheel with 4 puck race disc and upgraded sport pressure plate)
- 4-Point BGB Motorsports GT4 Harness Bar with Sparco Pro Adv FIA Fiberglass Shells, and red Schroth enduro belts)
- GT4 Clubsport Steering Wheel with quick release
- GT4 Clubsport Floorboard with dead pedal
- GT4 Clusbport Dual Brake Master Cylinder Setup
- Bosch M4 Motorsport ABS Hydraulic Unit & Wiring Harness
- BGB Motorsports Wheel Studs
- Pagid RSC1 Ceramic Racing Brake Pads for PCCB Replacement
- Spiegler 6-Piece Stainless Steel Braided Brake Lines
- Castrol SRF Racing Brake Fluid
I will keep adding to this thread and adding pictures of the completed work as we are already about 65% of the way through installing what is listed above.
Thanks for following!

Ha ha...PDK in, manual out...manual in, PDK out...PDK in, manual out. I can't make up my mind if i'm a guy that puts PDK in manual cars or manuals in PDK cars?
This car will never see the street again and will only travel to the track via trailer. For those very reasons though it makes life hard when building something like this with the intention of resale. At least now we have track insurance providers.
