It's a Club Sport. The non-Club Sport mules sound nothing like this.

And neither did some of the earlier CSs.

It's true! RLers upgrade GT cars faster than I upgrade my phone....

I think this (GT4 to newest GT4) is less so (maybe much less so) with the GT4. The upgrade (assuming new cars) from a GT4 is a GT3. The upgrade from a GT3 is a GT3 RS. Styling aside, the 718 GT4 will be better than the 981 GT4 but how many will drop a net $20k for the newer car? I think, on average, $20k means a bit more to the average GT4 new car buyer than to the average GT3/GT3 RS new car buyer. Didn’t someone do a poll on this?

I’m new to this forum. It shoul be same 3.8L bumped up to 4.0L with 420hp 👍🏽😎. The numbers warrant it and a gt3 engine does not make any sense for so many reasons (that engine is just too expensive). (My deposit was paid in March. #1 on list in SA. Deliveries Jun for SA (slightly earlier for Europe) ). The Cayman T or Cayman “6” might also come with a 6 cyl (hence the exhaust config similar to GT4 👌🏽.)😊😊😊

Fixed it above. Eventually, after the "newest is greatest" crowd leaves the room, almost every GT car lands with people who hold onto it for much longer.

718 Spyder just spotted. Apparently, completely unmasked...
I personally think it looks really good.
I have to assume this is the final production version or close with minor changes depending on what mule this is.

The only thing I don't like is it lacks the GT4's side air scoops in this version just like the 981 Spyder did. I hope the final Spyder has them. If not, I am sure a relatively easy change.
For those that say the car is ruined because of the rear bumper (lol), I am sure some tuners will offer other great looking options. Change it.. geez...
But again, I think it is fine.

Oh wait a second.... I didn't notice those hideous wheel lug nuts until now!!! Porsche really messed up this time. The 981 was the last amazing design. The hell with this car! Not buying it.

I don't think the car has been just spotted. => They are leaves on the trees. The light is also too bright. It seems the pictures are from last summer.

I agree.

Even went and looked up the weather for Reimerath in december. Should be wet, gloomy and cold. Those pictures do not look like that.

Ah, good points...
I suppose we will have to wait a little longer for legitimate new photos to truly hate this car... ;-)

And it’s not completely unmasked... same camo as all the other test cars. Also, still has the older GT4 wheels, where the latest photos covered in the garage has the newer angular versions. They need to release it already. Getting sick of the same car with the same camo posted over and over people thinking it’s the new and a done deal. Porsche is dragging this one out too much.

I would think that the vast majority of GT4 owners bought the GT4 because they wanted a mid-engine sports car and probably could afford the GT3 if they wanted one. Whether they will upgrade from the 981 to the 718 GT4 depends on the performance and final design. I'm currently driving a 981 GTS. Couldn't get a 981 GT4 allocation. On two lists for the 718 GT4. Prefer the 981 looks, but I'm confident we haven't seen the final 718 GT4 design (or at I'm hoping the rear diffuser is still disguised).
