Yep. And he uses his cars. His 918 is one of the highest mileage examples in the world.

I owned a '15 Carrera GTS and '16 GT4 simultaneously, albeit briefly. I thought the GT4 sounded better, according to what I want a car to sound like. The GTS was fun sounding with its overly farty burbly overrun on decel. But it always sounded artificially enhanced to me. The GT4 sounds, to my ear, both slightly better when it's at WOT or close to it (where both cars sound great) and waaaay better around town, especially on decel where it feels like "all motor" and no electronics.

But everyone is free to feel differently of course.

As tcsracing1 mentioned a page back,it all comes down to the pipe length(shorter on the 911s) and to the manifolds. It's as simple as that! GT4 sounds way better IMO!

Is it confirmed (Somehwat reliably) that the car will be unveiled at the LA auto show. Motor trend, Car and Driver and a couple of other car magazines have all mentioned that the 992 will be unveiled at the LA Auto show while Whoopsy has said that the 718 GT4 will be shown at LA and the 992 at Geneva. Can we really expect the 718 GT4 to also be shown there ??

Also, is it confirmed that the new 718 GT4 CS will be available to the racing teams before ROAR in January. I would think that if this is the case, Porsche will need to unveil the cars before that, lending more credence to the LA auto show unveil.

I have a work trip scheduled during the LA auto show. I will postpone or have someone else travel if the car is scheduled for the LA auto show.

I would bet that 992 is going to be introduced at LA Motorshow and 718 Spyder or GT4 at Geneva earliest.

I'd put money on that. Well, 992 in LA anyway. But the GT4 has to come some time in the near future and Geneva has often been the place for GT goodness.
