Amongst the simplest of all mods. Rennline makes a great product. Of course it would be nice if Porsche would include them but I could say that about a few dozen things.

I don't see any thing wrong with the rear 3/4 view. The thing looks good from just about every angle.

Too bad they added the rear reflectors... like most other cars these days. 🙁

I prefer the cleaner rear in my 981.

Agreed. I also prefer the rear taillights on the 981. The other kicker for me is the interior. I much prefer the flat vents in the 981 to the curved, raised, vents in the 718. I know the 718 GT4 will be an all around better car, but there are so many subtle styling diffrrences of the 981 I prefer.

If, and it's a big if, the 718 GT4 legit has the GT3 4.0 then I'll likely be in. Otherwise, I'll stick with my 981.

Looks are very subjective. IMO, the 981 and 982 lack the wide hips of the 911 which I happen to love.

I find very wide hips on a woman intimidating

From a distance, not many people will see the difference between the 981 GT4 and the 718 GT4. They are both very similar. The looks are not really what suck me in. (I prefer the look of the 911).
What really sucks me in is the mid engine design of the cayman using the 911 engine.
To have a mid engine car built by porsche for less money then a 911 is a great concept and makes for a really fun car to own.

Yep. Owned a 997 GTS Cab before my 981 Spyder and there's no comparison in handling. 911 motor with mid engine chassis, less $ than 911. No brainer, unless you happen to have a sub-3 ft. family member who needs to ride in the back seat.

You got a deposit? I have never seen anyone come on a thread to say "I agree" ...its always the opposite. And once you realize what was discussed, you will also drop it and realize the pics are nothing special until we see a 17/18 built chassis driving around. Then we can get excited.
i agree

The designers were influenced by Steve Harvey's mustache when they were looking for ideas for the new rear valance.

But that's not a valid comparison. I owned a 991S SPASM car along side 981 Spyder and 981 Cayman, both with X73 suspension, and down a twisty mountain road the 911 crushed both of them. Better turn in, better grip, came off the corners harder. The 981 is more lively and go karty, but the 911 was quicker down the road and more of a sporting weapon. The 981s are great cars, but the idea that they're superior sports cars to the 911 is a myth.
