I still wish we could get some feedback on these from users. My local roads are quite twisty and getting into the best sounds of the car above 5000rpm can be downright dangerous.
And the gearbox is so good that I want to shift as often as possible!

I play for 0.001 seconds and need all the help I can get. Too many SCCA national champs in the area.

That’s kinda what I was wondering; can a GT4 with the altered gearset run in a stock class? Seems like the altered gearset would move a car out of stock.

LOL. I’m just a local autocrosser so those are the only classes I know. What SCCA program do you compete in?
I would love to do more but geography prevents it. The only big event near me is the Grenada ProSolo. Thus far it has been delayed this year, and is quite possibly not going to happen at all due to site issues.

What’s the reason not to get this modification? It seems like a great bang for the buck modification to shorten all the gears if you don’t mind a higher rpm cruising in 6th

Biggest reason not to get (or biggest gearing problem it doesn't solve) is it still doesn't solve the big spread from 1st to 2nd gear.

The idea of them is great. I'm rarely on the highway cruising in 6th. My spirited driving is on pretty tight roads, I never use 4th during hard driving as the roads won't support those speeds. I'd love to gear lower and use more of those gears, the shifter is so damn good that I want to use it all the time.

the chart says first gear ends at 39mph and 2nd gear ends at 68mph

GT3 touring:
1st Gear (mph): 51.68
2nd Gear (mph): 81.39
Spread = 1.57 (not sure if that is the way to express it)
GT4 (with revised gears like you just posted):
1st Gear (mph): 39
2nd Gear (mph): 68
Spread = 1.74 (revs drop too low shifting from 1st to 2nd)
I still think the new final drive helps a lot. I'm just saying it is still not the perfect answer.

Still no reviews from users? Any chance we could at least get AutoQuest to solicit some feedback from people who have been using these gears?

Not sure if your post is coincidental; have a separate thread posted on this. Right now, I'm in the process of figuring this out. I've questions/requests out to AutoQuest to have at least couple of buyers to share their feedback. Apparently, many GT4s running on the track with this mod. Oddly, not a single review/feedback!
I wouldn't mind changing these instead: Mainshaft, 1, 2 and 3. I just want low Vmax in these gears. I've sent a mail to Rick DeMan as well; got no reply yet. I'm surprised why the low-gearing mod is not well advertised or promoted. A LOT of GT4/Spyder drivers would jump on it. Are there underlying, unintended negative impacts preventing wider adoption? I don't wanna be the one to find out either!
