Clubsport battery disconnect
New to me 2016 981cs. Seller advises to keep battery disconnected via the kill switch when vehicle not in use. Cs is always kept on a Ctec charger when not driven. Any insight as to continuing this practice? I ask because all saved data and settings are erased when battery is removed from circuit. Thanks in advance.

Do you have a Motec dash? Mine has one and even with the ignition turned off, the Motec dash is on and you can hear the electrical subsystems turning on and off. So I disconnect my battery using the kill switch plus I have mine battery on a Noco charger.

FWIW, with my 981 CS I hit the kill switch whenever the car is not running i.e. every time I park it in the pits. For longer storage, I also put it on a tender. I don't have a Motec. The only time I don't hit the kill switch is if there is an issue with the car, like a CEL, or the engine or trans is acting weird, then I avoid the kill switch until it can be scanned. Disconnecting the battery can flush some codes.

The technical manual specifies a 70Ah / 450A AGM battery for the 981 CS, which is a large battery. It holds a charge for a long time. I put a NOCO smart charger on it once a month to keep it fully charged; the NOCO does that pretty quickly.
