PCA runs pirellis DHs. in 2021 when Jens ran 56.1 it was about 98F and insanely humid.

The Yokes are slower. The two front runners (both of them crashed out in different races), were in the :56’s, the next eight or ten were in the :58’s and :59’s.

PSC was a hell of a lot more competitive than any PCA race I’ve seen, except for B1 in its heyday or Todd Lamb versus @jdistefa

From looking at the PSC Cayman times, the top qualfier at VIR was the same speed as Jens Hanston in PCA (1:56.1). The field is certainly much larger, but does not appear better from what I can tell (PSC VIR qualy times of 1:56 to 2:04).
You should have been there…

I would totally run PSC, but I only have a lowly 981 Clubsport.

Side note, I dont think it’s even possible to get to the GTC 981 min weight of 1350kg/2976# with driver. My car is a MR Evo and it weighs more like 3025# with me (185#) in it and zero fuel.

The track is getting slower... Six-plus years since the repave and lots of repair sections.

Yes, people can still do a one-lap wonder time, but really much harder to shoot a tight group of record neighborhood lap times.

I see it the most in drop off from cool mornings to warm afternoons. Much more evident in temp related performance.

The newer the track, the less the drop off. This is a good indicator for many tracks, not just VIR.

I think Jens is very good, but I think it's time for him to dip his toe into pro racing instead of being a big fish in a smaller pond.

If he were running current SRO BOP for that car, he would be nowhere close, IMO. Not him, just how the car has been hobbled.

You know, if people made that calculation every time they wanted to race, they wouldn't!

There's a reason they don't give out the trophies before the checker...

Try it. The result might not be so pre-ordained.

Hit up Rob Morgan from GTC. They are more than willing to discuss and change BOP as appropriate. I told them that my Audi wouldn’t be competitive at the weight and restrictor they were asking for. They did some research and changed it to be fair.
