In my two previous race cars (968 and 987.2) I never really noticed the benefit of sticker tires. Seemingly the first 8-10 HC's all felt pretty similar. With the GT4 CS I am noticing a pretty substantial difference after 2-3 HC's. Is this something to do with the GT4 or have I just learned to push the car harder?

Sounds like you are just pushing harder. All tires fall off. Slicks tend to fall off more than DOT track tires. Pirellis are amazing for the first heat cycle, very good for the next 2 and acceptable for 2 more. After that, they are junk.
Oh and not all heat cycles are created equal. If you do a qualifying session and do 5 laps, that’s way different than running a 90 min enduro.

In IGT I am running 1 qualifier, 2 short sprint races and 1 60 min enduro. They seem to be pretty well spent at that point!!!!

I think I had a lot more aero on my 987.2 and that made a big difference. The GT4 could sure use more aero.
