Porsche now offer PDK Repair Service for CS
Looks like Porsche is now offering repair service for 2RS, 718, and 981 PDKs in the CS range.....

Since the prior solution was to replace the entire box it's unclear to me what component actually failed most often. Hoping the third option offered in this bulletin (repair double clutch) covers the most common point of failure. If so, this is welcome news and a whole lot less expensive than a $20K replacement box.

Yes looked like they are now repairing the smaller type things, but nothing with the actual gears, input/output shafts, R&P, etc. Still it's progress.

Getting the feeling either going 3rd party.....or buying a new tranny from them is the route to go. Looking at the prices for they are doing repair wise....coupled with shipping to the fatherland....

I am the guinea pig .
I pushed Porsche a few months ago on the issue and they introduced me to Frank at ZF Germany. My box is there now and is getting all new parts. It was in bad shape. The 6 k euro option is a good deal for a full refresh but I had broken parts. Shipping is not cheap but all in still cheaper than a new box. They think the box was repaired in the US with non standard parts and poorly reassembled.
Beware of folks that tell you they can fix them in the US.

BGB Motorsports has recently been named the US authorized repair facility by ZF for the PDK. Contact John Tecce if you need a proper rebuild done. And of course they can also replace the factory lsd with one of mine if you want an upgrade.

I have confirmed with both BGB and ZF in Germany that only ZF is authorized to to repair motorsport PDK's. There was some talk about BGB doing US work but that was not approved. This is a new program only recently approved by Porsche. My trans is in route back to the US after a complete rebuild. Hoping for smooth sailing...
Frank Dahlman at ZF Germany is the only world wide contact for factory PDK repair work . Frank is a pleasure to work with although things in Germany are a bit challenging at the moment.
PM me if anyone needs Franks info. Also his info is in the PMNA notice sent a few weeks back.

So....have we ever determined what the difference between the "motorsport" pdk in our cars vs a normal pdk? I thought the only real difference was the diff.
