Default TPMS Question on 981 Clubsport

I generally run Pirelli tires 23 cold and try to target 28 hot, depending on the track and conditions however I have a constant error on the dash that my tires are underinflated even when the hit 28 lbs. Is this normal? I assume it's not but someone suggested maybe the TPMS in the Clubsport is the same as the GT4 street car and possibly the TPMS needs to read 34 lbs or whatever the street car is set to.

Porsche Motorsport has been slow to respond as they apparently they are short staffed due to COVID.

Thoughts?

Thanks,
Adam

It can be done at your dealer with their PIWIS. Or your local indy if they have a PIWIS.

Perfect! Thanks. Sounds like there is a specific setting for the TPMS for a Clubsport. Makes sense.

Also, if you don't already have it,you can find the Pirelli Tire Booklet for the CS on the PCA website now.

Thanks Frank. I looked on the PCA.org and PCAclubracing.org website and I am unable to locate the tire booklet. Would you mind pointing me to the link at your convenience?

Thanks,
Adam

Excellent! Thank you Frank. There is some really helpful info in here especially regarding recommended pressures. Much appreciated.

Best,
Adam

Reviving this. So with the PWIS, can a lower TPMS alarm be set? We’d like to run TPMS to get some warning if a tire is going down, but down want alerts above say 28 psi.
