The LMP1's use of an 800 volt bus is impressive. The only problem is the batteries to provide the 'Ring endurance Porsche seeks don't exist. Saying they'll wait to deliver an EV until it performs "like a Porsche" ignores all the SUVs they let out the door. If that is their standard, the Mission E is just the latest string-along.

I'd buy a Mission E, with no plans to go to the track just like most who buy Cayennes, Macans or Panameras. A difference that helped get those out the door was lower costs to build. With Porsche I'm beginning to feel I'm being asked to subsidize high prices and margins, for low cost guts.

I can wait for street car nirvana. It just won't be in a Porsche.
