In prep for a road trip to BC Canada next month was thinking about a radar detector. Read all the reviews and thinking Escort Max360. Anyone here with this unit and personal opinions.
I had the Max 2 and sold it for the Max 360. The 360 was much lager and completely lost that stealth look when mounted on a Blendmount. The directional arrows were a little hard to read while driving. Yes it is nice to know the location of where the radar is coming but the bottom line is when your detector goes off, your first reaction will be to slow down no matter where the signal is coming I traded in the 360 and went with another Max 2...
Have both the Max 2 and the Max 360.
Prefer the 360 since it allows you more time to be on the throttle since you now know where the radar signal is at
Max360 is my choice and I've owned/own a bunch of them...
Just know that it's not going to cover you against laser, you'll need an ALP setup for that.
If the Max tells you you're getting a laser hit, it's basically telling you you're about to get a ticket!
I'm really satisfied with my max 2 at the moment. The 360 is having issues regarding the arrows lagging past the location of a signal. Until they fix the software issues i'd stick with the max 2
I have had Escort ix for years, but the new one looks nice -- except the geniuses there have decided to reinvent the mount, which is now some newfangled thing that uses a magnet to attach to the detector and a window cup with stickum on it! Which means that my review mirror-mounted mount would be of no use. Nor would any other existing mount.
Isn't that just lovely? Maybe the executives are on the board of Keurig.
