Which is the worst Porsche ever built in your opinion ?

Regarding 35+ year-old cars on the road, when I was coming home from the Porsche Parade, I saw a lot of Corvettes heading home from Bowling Green. Funny though they were almost all 90's on. Apparently the others must be too delicate to actually drive. No shortage og early Porsches on the road!

RJT, well, give Stormy a nice ol' pet from London as well, she's sweet. I even showed the story to my colleagues at work.
As for the 'least good' Porsche ever done, I'd say the 912E (that 70s one) was maybe one their less well though of efforts. I like the original 912s, they are light and elegant, but the 912E to me was just a hashed up car put on the market with little thought - it didn't have any innovations or add anything new to the range. Or was there a point and I am missing it?
To any owners of 912Es I do apologise and would like to say I am not trying to diss your car, I still much rather that than a non Porsche car, but for the money, and considering the era, I'd get a 914.

So Porsche launched it themselves and made a big success out of it. THe concept of the drivetrain layout came from the 928 which is the only clean-sheet Porsche designand to describe the 924 as to much of a V.A.G-design is to me the same thing as to say that the 996 looks like a swollen beetle..
As I see it there has most of the time been the 911, and a less expensive model on it's side. 912 next to the 911 in the earlier years. 924/944/968 during 70's-90's and the Boxster next to the 996.

The worst Porsche ever made? Probably my 85.5 944 - terrible car. I put more $$$ into that thing than I care to admit and never could make it right. Poster child for PPI.
Oh wait... you meant worst MODEL Porsche. In the words of Rosanne Rosannadanna - Never mind.

to be honest, i like the 912E, it can handle very well, if upgraded enough the engine will amaze you though. t4 engines can gain more horse power than 2.2L 911s (it will cost you to do it though) but i do have to agree with you that it has many down sides. 1st it was over priced, for only a few grand more (new this is) you could have gotten the 911 of the day. it was also under powered compared to the 1st 912 series (80 hp vs 90), not to mention the 911 of the day. it was basically a car they threw together to fill in the gap between the 914 and the 924 (only 2000 912E's were ever made). so it has its down faults right from the bat. it wasnt designed to be a top seller. just as any car it has its flaws. this sint to say its the worst porsche ever though.
but to be honest, i would love to have a 912E... in the 912 south east regional meeting, we did a driving tour of the mountians in asheville. the only 912E there was kicking everyones ***, flying up and down the mountians through the twisties, and was riding the *** the whole time of the tour guide, who lives in asheville, and races up and down these mountians everyday. being behind him and watching him go through those hills.. wow.. to be honest, i fell in love with that car that day. (i know.. just think what the 911 could do!)
a 914 too is a great car.. in fact i love them just as much as any porsche because of the way the can handle.. i have to have a 914 someday.
the 924, although another black sheep as most low end porsches, was a great car as well. with out it there wouldnt be a 944. it has its importance in history, and i believe it should get its due as well.
Doug.. the footwork arrows f1? isnt that the one that only qualified for 2 races, had en engine that was too heavy etc... if so that gets my vote (if not which ever one that is gets my vote).

ahhh..... so much crap and so little time....
a lot of Porsche build quality and styling during the 20 year span of the transaxles [the time era I'm most interested in] was good in some aspects, but lacking in others. of course, you can say that about a lot of cars from this time period... but these cars cost a lot. so I give them mixed reviews...
overall, I don't like the 914, 924s and 928s much. the 924 was a prototype that should have stayed in the lab until it evolved into the 944.
they should have had the 993 style fenders done in time for the 964. what a fugly car [for as late as 1994!!]
lame. the 968 has plenty of cheap/dumb stuff on it. headlamps. steering wheel, batwing, rocker panels, cassette holder, etc.
the 2.5 Boxsters deserve honorable mention. what a garbage motor on an otherwise good platform.
