It's definitely a head-scratcher. The gift shop has some gems that more people should have access to.

Heard that you have been hoarding 1/43. Show me what your working with.

Can this Edition help us about Porsche Interior Structure????

Default Brochure Printing Date Codes

Can anyone help me decode the numbers/letters Porsche prints on the back of their modern brochures? What exactly do they mean? I'm interested to know if it tells me when exactly the brochure was printed and for what model years it applies. For example, I have 3 brochures with the following printed on the back:

MKT 001 049 06 (It says "Printed in USA" and 2005 Porsche Cars North America). Is this for the 2006 or 2005 model year?

MKT 006 063 06 (It says "Printed in USA" and 2006 Porsche Cars North America). Is this for the 2006 or 2007 model year?

MKT 001 098 07 (It says "Printed in USA" and 2006 Porsche Cars North America). Is this for the 2006 or 2007 model year?

Thank you for your help.

Hi all,

In case anyone´s interested, I´ve just created a Facebook-group called

"Porsche Literature & Memorabilia Collectors"

which will show more books & other items from my collection, with hopefully many other collectors joining in.

Ciao,

Lars

I was sent these books by my uncle. He and my dad had p[orsches way back when.

They are 4 bound books the size of magazines titled
Christophorus Series 50
Christophorus Series 60
Christophorus Series 70
Christophorus Series 80

They cover the years 1964 - 1970. I flipped through the last one and at the end is a 1970 yearbook.

They look neat, but I haven't had time to read through them yet. Lots of beautiful pictures and magazine reviews also.

Any idea what I have here?

Are they rare?

What were they exactly? A special order set for people subscribed to the magazine?

Complete sets for dealers?

The way they came when you ordered complete previous years?

I cannot find anything about them online,.. and have no idea why these are bound, how rare they are, value?

My neighbor has a 356 (amongst other Porsches). Perhaps he'll enjoy borrowing them.

Question Update to Porsche: Excellence Was Expected

If anyone has any questions about Porsche - Origin of the Species, feel free to post them here and I can try and answer them!
I am hoping Maurice is still listening to this thread.

Does Karl Ludvigsen plan on updating/revising Porsche: Excellence Was Expected any time soon? With so many new vehicles and updates to Porsche vehicles I am hoping for an update, and I suspect many other readers would like to see an updated/revised edition.

If Maurice in not listening, has anyone heard if Karl Ludvigsen is planning an update/revision?

I would be one of the first in line to purchase the newly updated/revised volumes!!!

Default Myporschecollection.com

Hi, I have collected Porsche memorabilia for over 30 years. I was fortunate enough to put most of it on display in South Miami at Das Renn Treffen put on by Alvaro of Park Haus 1. I have a web site: myporschecollection.com where almost everything can be seen. Take a look and let me know what you think. The spread sheet is searchable. The entire collection is now for sale. I need to pay for the 2018 Carrera GTS cabriolet that I just ordered. Enjoy yourself. Bruce
