Default Porsche Race Car Classic on October 16th!

The final event of that Rennsport week will be called the 'Porsche Race Car Classic'. It will be held at Quail Lodge on October 16th at the field where Porsche set up its 'Zentrum' for the Panamera world introduction several years ago. It will be a once-in-a-lifetime reunion of famous race cars and drivers from the period. The planning for this event started 3 years ago and you don't want to miss it. It is an expensive ticket (includes admission & unlimited food & drinks like The Quail in August) but $350 of the $400 ticket is a charitable contribution for cancer research and it's tax deductible. Like The Quail, tickets will be limited so plan ahead. Also suggest all make your hotel reservations early. z356 (Carmel)

Thank you, Tony. Does anybody know who is the organizer of Rennsport Reunion IV event? I'd like to better understand the driver and car entry requirements.

Sounds good but sucks that their original focus was pre-1965 cars. I hope that it's expanded entry list will open up the entrants to many more of the monsters that really put Porsche on the auto racing map. I'd go for the 917's, 935's, etc. thats just me though

The pre-65 cutoff is just for the weekend-ending event at the quail lodge. I am certainly going to try to make it to that as well. 400 bucks is a lot for a dinner, but it's for charity... And I am sure there will be a guest speaker there that makes it all worth it.

I hope more information comes out soon, because I need to start making plans! California, here I come!
