Garage Ideas
There are many comments and pictures related to our garages.
What is the best thing about your garage? What would you change about your garage? What have you changed that you probably did not need? If you were doing it all over again, what would you find the most important?
Thanks

The Garage Journal is the place to go for garage ogling.
I find that separating storage from garage space is the most helpful thing for me.
I also found that the book ''Your Garagenous Zone'' Had some good tips for organizing and motivating.
BTW, most of the Garage threads would be in OT, where you have to join up to access.

Best things I have done.....(in the order I would do them again)
1. Lots of overhead fluorescent lighting. Some are on separate circuits, so you don't have to turn
them all on if you don't want.
2. Epoxy floor coating. Makes cleanup a lot easier and stays cleaner much easier. No more rolling around on a dirty concrete floor. Also greatly improves the lighting in the garage.
3. Cabinets would be the 3rd thing. Getting everything put away behind closed doors really makes the garage look good. Like said previously, getting a separate storage area other than the garage is very helpful. I just finished my outside storage for all the lawn related tools, etc.

thanks for the replies
there are always suggestions listed, and you can search for lots of ideas, but i wanted to see what people thought after their projects were over and they looked around and assessed their creations.
the book ultimate garages has some good ideas too.
building a garage 28 x 28. spec'd with a 6000 psi floor to hold a two post lift and hold over a walk out basement. 14' ceiling so that i can work under my truck or store another car under the lift. epoxy floor a good idea, but will pass on the lights under the floor and the pneumatic hook-ups. high amperage service and 220 circuits to allow welder and generator hook up.
