Wow,

I had a 1:18 scale die cast model of this as a kid and thought it was the most amazing looking car ever when I was 5 or so. Destroyed the model unfortunately and to be honest although I remember the lines I had no idea it was Porsche powered or what a Porsche was at that age.

Thanks for the memories. BTW I still think it is a good looking car reminds me of the MB C111 or the uglier Bricklin although I like the extra glass.

Putting aside the famous race cars Porsche has built. I am a fan of the 965 Turbo 3.6. ViperBob will agree with me on this one I think.

The best looking Porsche has got to be the 917. Kind of cramped for a daily driver though.

Sounds good to me - the metallic dark green on the 930 in Peter Morgan's 'Original Porsche 911' is a great photo of an early Turbo.

And, I like the early 911s in black - shows off the chrome.

I agree, especially those Speedster seats. Probably the best looking I've seen in any car, ever. And the low windscreen glass on the A body - very dramatic.

I think Octane recently called it one of the top 10 coolest cars ever made.

I like the 993 TT, but there's a simplicity to the Speedster interior (and chrome gauges, etc.) that you don't get in the later cars with all the plastic, airbags, etc.

My choice would be either 928 GTS or the 911 GT1
If pushed i would probably choose the GT1
