Nah... I think that it's SOME men can be so narrow minded that when you move something (as in this thread from OT to General) they can't find it!!!!

They won't stop and ask for directions, Jo.

OK, the peacock tattoo story.....

My mom was on one of the first color TV shows with Ivan Sanderson <IIRC> and they showed animals and talked about wildlife. This was on CBS <look up: Patty Painter> in the early color days.

They got a shipment of a few peacocks to show on the new color technology and they let them loose. Well, the peacocks were very upset, the people were horrified <tiny TV studio with lots of catwalks> and the peacocks are also nasty mean birds with sabre claws.

Well, the poor dstressed armed things flew up into the catwalks and screamed and shat. They couldn't get to them and people were running around the set with newspapers held over their heads to avoid the biological warfare from above.

They got them down, but <IIRC> Ivan got his arm opened up by one of the claws.

I got the tattoo the night I found out my mom might not make it through the night in the hospital. She did make it through that night though. This was a few years before she actually got so sick she started fading. I sat for 4 hours from start to finish....I wanted to get it as a tribute to her. I need to get it reworked as it has faded and now that she's passed I want to get it reworked into a memorial tattoo for her

So that's the story behind the orchid and peacock

Thanks Kevin! I like it My Kevin has gotten used to it, even called it cute the other day!

I need to get mine cleaned up too. It was also about 4 hours- but the guy was in a hurry and so its not as good as it could have been. All the same, i love it and my wife loves it. She has been bugging me to design her one for a while.

We have 27 calendars sold, and between donations and purchases, we have brought in just shy of $900 so far.

Dave definitely purchased first two, followed by a gentleman by the initials D.S, followed by Nicole.

Sorry if this sounds curt, don't mean it to... very tired after a 19-hour long day that included 5 hours of travel time, 4 hours of track time, an F150 tow vehicle almost ruining the day, and my mother flying into town at midnight.

On the plus side, I had fastest lap time of the day. Showing those boys what's up.

I plan on ordering a calendar...just waiting for the thumbs up....

Definatley need to get more word out...I don't read the top of the page (admin stuff) I go straight to the body of the page, I think others do the same. I also think showing the guys the photos in advance probably hurt sales because they likely just right clicked and saved for free!

Just wanted to add my thanks to everyone for such a great job!! Classy and sexy is what it should be and it is!

Good lord... did IB create a new Abyss folder...??

As I've posted before, I bought one because these girls spent extra hours in the kitchen or crack'n the whip to pull off their shots for this!!!

Mr. P, that's best left for a pm.. it's kinda like telling someone how to steal your car.

I voiced my concerns about posting photos in PM and in Threads...should have kept things secret.

You my friend are the trouble maker. :-)

You know, that's my mistake. I forgot for a moment that people could still do the check thing and that there's a whole separate source of information to look at. I just looked at the Paypal account and that obviously doesn't tell me everything.

I gotta have you show me how that new system works, so I don't make more mistakes like that!

But way to kick *** on the track, girl!!

Hey ladies, I'm here--just using the iPhone which is a bit trickier. Great job on the driving Cass! Which track are you on? We raised $110 selling cookies here this weekend!

Leslie--it will probably be just me helping with the calendars in October...

I almost never look at OT or any other forum than 928 tech so missed the voting and the launch of the new calendar.

Well done ladies..........you've exceeded yourselves once again.

Leslie..........let me know how I can assist with logistics on the North side; same as last year?
