Default Electronic Porsche Brochure Collection

Hi Everyone:
I have been working on a new phase for my Porsche worship website and I wanted to announce its creation here on Rennlist.

I collect vintage Porsche brochures and decided that I wanted to share them electronically with my fellow enthusiasts. At this time, I have brochures covering every model made by Porsche with the exception of the original Gmund coupe. I really enjoy leafing through these old brochures and hope that you will find the e-versions as enjoyable. I have dozens more brochures, some for limited edition p-cars, that I will be placing on my site over time.

So, if you own ANY model of Porsche, you will be able to view a representative brochure for your model dating back to 1951 (i.e. 356, 356A, 356B, 356C, 901, 911, 912, 914, 924, 928, 944, 959, 964, 968, 986, 993, 996, CGT). I also have links to Porsche’s PDF files for all recent models).

My personal favorite brochure is for the 901. As many of you know, Porsche originally wanted to call the 911 the 901 but changed the designation to 911 because of Peugeot’s ‘claim’ to model numbers containing a “0” as the middle digit. The original brochures produced to announce the new model in late 1963 before mass production were 901 brochures – the particular example featured in my collection has a stamp on its front cover stating, “Model Number Changed to 911.” I just really like that particular brochure! Porsche reprinted these 901 brochures in 1993 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the 911 model line and the birth of the 993 series.

I also have collected old Porsche owner’s manuals and now own copies for just about every model of Porsche ever made. I will be converting these to PDF files in the coming months as my next project.

Please let me know what you think of my collection and feel free to let me know of any problems.

ENJOY!

Here are a few original items I scanned previously.

..of course this first one never made it to the US but the brochure did. Porsche was not going to wreck anymore for the US safety standards.

website sometimes goes up and down..
Feel free to upload to your website.

ok, I need some help. Whats wrong with my adobe cause when I click to view the brochuer, it says its downloading, then just a blank white screen & it says its done. Dont seem to have a problem with my pdf's or adobe writer, I use it everyday here at work. Perhaps mine is not new enough of version maybe?

ok, forwarded a link to my server here at my office & it has a slightly newer version on the Adobe reader. That did the trick! Very nice collection of brochures indeed!
