Just a quick question from someone who knows absolutely zero about Porsche's and engines in general. I run an eBay consignment business and have been asked by one of my clients to sell a 'Porsche engine' but she really can't give me any information about it at all. So, here's what I've got...and I'm really hoping someone can help me out with this one.

The only number I've been able to find was on the engine block and read as follows...

SI 12
004.101.102.A

I'm looking for any information about this engine that I can get, such as what sort of Porsche it came out of, and anything else someone might think would be useful to know.

Posting pictures of the engine would probably allow someone to help identify it.
