Default I drove a record producers Porsche today

Rob Cavallo, he did the last couple of Greenday albums and right now he is in our studio doing the sound track for the motion picture version of "Rent." He needed someone to take his Carrera the carwash. Me, being the only one who can drive a stick and owning the only other Porsche at the studio , was entrusted with his baby.

Score one for me!!!

What kind of Porrsh was it? I hope the carwash was not one of those scrubbing brush ones...

Remember I told you I used to own a 928 that looked like a twin of yours? It resurfaced recently (after 5 years), and is now in enthusiast hands (a fellow Rennlister) again...

Did you move from Arizona to LA? Hope you are doing well!

I did! i finished school at the conservatory of recording arts in Phoenix and moved to West LA to pursue my dream of one day becoming a producer. So far, I havent been paid to do what I do, but I've been haning around the studio trying to get some extra work. Craigslist isnt helping much, but I'm doing what I can. None of you guys happen to be Producers or Engineers that can give a fellow enthusiast a break can you?

And for Rob and the Porsche, he told me that his father once owned a 928 and he thought it was pretty cool.
The 911 was cool and all, but it seemed that it lacked the quirky, but loveable characteristics of the 928.

Hi Chris:

I can't believe it has been long enough since our fun drive for completing an education... Congratulations!!!

On Craigslist you will find the cheapest people in the Universe, so I'm not surprised that it's not helping much. I posted a link to this thread into the Off-Topic (members only) forum, because there are a few people who are involved in music and recording. Maybe someone has contacts or helpful advice for you...

Well, and treat those celebrity Porsches well - they might remember you when you least expect it. Best of luck!!!

You might want to try http://www.hitquarters.com/

Get involved with as much of the scene as you can. Go to shows, get known with local bands, etc...
Its all determination, focus, and good work. Good luck!
