Does anyone have experience with PPF for windshields?

Yes! I just installed X-Pel PPF when I did the front 1/3 of a 991.2. I'd lost 3 windshields on my S4 the past 5 years (lots of dump trucks in the Toronto area ;0( ... so was motivated.

So far so good, light dings will apparently self heal once they sit in the sun. (I have no dings yet) I have also put rain-X on it several times and am cautious to insure the wipers are wet before turning on the wipers. 99% confidence assured that you won't easily lose a $3,000+ windshield to a random stone. Very happy with it. Not cheap (I paid $CDN599 for it) - just about $US400.Do it if you are already PPF'ing anywhere else (professionally of course)

You cannot tell the difference in sightlines and will not screw with Go-Pros nor window mounted radar detectors - Video here - Windshield video

I have PPF on my Front Screen on RS, this is a must have imo on a track car. Saves all the chips and replacements, not that they are easily available also.

I've seen the newer version of it, didn't drive the car, but couldn't really tell looking through the windshield.
