I would love some help in understanding why some Carrera RSR's, the IROC hybrids for example, like Fittipaldi #1, and a replica, last weekend at Sonoma Raceway, Unser #5, have rear fenders with no openings, while other Carrera RSR's have openings in the rear fenders. Was that a factory variant, or was it incorporated by privateers, or replica instructors? When did it first appear? What is ventilated or ingested through the aperture?
