Default Vasek Polak License Plate Frames

For those that have real Vasek Polak license plate frames I would like to have photos and an approximate date/age of the frame. Im trying to gather a more pictoral history of the various frames over the years. This may be of value to the Rennlist community for those looking to purchase period correct VP frames.

From my fathers 1968 912 purchased from VP in 1971 so this frame is circa 1971.

Default vasek polak license plate frame

I don't know what year the frame is, but I know it's early. it came off my 1966 BMW 2000ti. It was originally bought by Briggs Cunningham. Name: IMG_2058.jpg

Cool old thread.

That appears to be an original Manhattan Beach frame from before Hermosa Beach. Vasek was at 356 S. Sepulveda Blvd. (the parking lot next to Skechers headquarters in Manhattan Beach before he move down to Hermosa and 2nd St. on the ocean side of PCH. Don't know the date because I wasn't born yet.

Thanks, I was looking to sell it. Do you think it is better restored or left as is?

Why not restore. It'll look better on a car if it's pretty. Otherwise, if it lives on the wall of a garage, leave it original. Just my .02 cents.

1973 two-page Vasek Polak advertisement. Interesting style of the "S" on Vasek Polak.
