Do You Daily Drive Your Porsche, or Is It a Weekend Warrior?

For most, a Porsche is a second car that gets driven only in nice weather and on weekends. But for others, it's simply too good not to drive every day.

I have a 944 that is mechanically sound & has a 10ft paint job with gutted interior. So heck yeah I drive it all I can, it is an amazing car to drive, especially on gravel! I work at home, sometimes I have an hour or so 'commute' to work
I do keep it in the garage for winter, can't bring myself to introduce it to MN road salt. Yet...

I don't drive every day as it is but when I do I prefer the 991, as long as it is not raining of course...same for the Harley.

Since January, I've whittled my fleet down from 7 running cars to 3.
So while the Porsche isn't the daily, it comes out a lot more than just the weekends. It's usually in competition with my C30 track car since my commute is 12 miles of mountain roads with no traffic and only 2 stop lights.

Daily or not?
I do drive my 99 996 as often as possible. I work in the film industry and we go to many different locations for work. Unless I’m hauling something too big or dirty, I drive the 911. If I have to park in a mud lot or on a rough dirt road, I drive my 98 Durango 4x4. But everyday, in Los Angeles traffic, I drive the 911. Soon I will be splitting those duties up with my 87 944 turbo. I can’t wait for that! I was alternating every other day with my 944S and the 911, but I sold the 944S for the turbo. I just can’t wait for that turbo rush!

I've got 7k+ miles since January this year on my '19 911 and I drive it everywhere, store, gym, whatever. I drove it to a waste collection spot to drop off household garbage (no home garbage collection at our NC mountain cabin) and a fellow Porsche owner (driving his pick-up) stops and says to me that he had never seen a Porsche at the trash collection site! Had a nice conversation with him about the local PCA chapter, unexpected encounter courtesy of Porsche.
So far its been in Florida, Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North and South Carolina. It will get wear and tear, I'll be picking up some touch up paint in the next few days for the road rash.
At my age, "time waits for no one" really hits closer to home, so close the door, turn the key, select "Sport" and annoy the neighbors with the PSE. Actually, my next door neighbor's wife was so "annoyed" she was talking to him about buying one (she really needs a pick-up to haul stuff for the her horses).

Only on weekends or special events during the week (after work). Something about where I work, lots of door dings. The old Crown Vic takes the 'drive-to-work' detail.
