Is ADM corruption by Porsche NA?
Do you feel Porsche is committing corruption by allowing dealers to charge ADM ?
The post below struck a chord with me as fact that Porsche is allowing middlemen to ruin their reputation. Why not just increase the MSRP for all rather than allow dealers to gouge individuals here and there causing disparity amongst buyers?
I know that after my recent 991.2 GT3 experience (my 4th GT car) with my local dealer that they are not creating good will but rather pushing away repeated customers. My success was based on my own actions and not from my local dealer. My lesson learned is that the dealership will play games and not uphold their commitment. Sure feels like corruption to me

If it was me I would write a very clear and accurate letter to PNA and also cc every motoring journal and the local newspaper in the dealers town. I would also include reference to the 918's. The bad taste might provoke a response. The is corruption in a sense as Porsche are allowing the dealer to play games with their product for his own personal gain, if I were Porsche I would be very unhappy indeed.

Corruption? Are you kidding me? Charging ADM is not illegal the last time I checked. Does it suck for some consumers, yes. Can Porsche do something about it, maybe, but remember dealers and PCNA are Porsche's access to the USA (at the moment) and I don't think they want to p*ss them off too much.

Seriously? Increasing MSRP? HOW is that going to stop ADM charged by dealers? Doesn't anybody have capabilities past their own shortsighted thinking anymore?
If you don't like ADM then walk away. Expecting others to share in your predicament is nothing but being selfish.

Quite the opposite. Corruption and against the law would be dictating what price they can charge.
The S in MSRP stands for "suggested".
Well over 90% of all new cars are probably sold for under MSRP.
Don't like a dealer or brand? Walk away and spend your $$ elsewhere. What many are doing.

Not so much ADM per se (see latest Acid Green with $100,000 ADM) but the "list" and "deposits for allocation", GT cars ordered under unaware customer's names, Porsche knows very very well what's happening but it's a win win situation for them. They set the bar.

There are some bad tastes with how dealers have dealt with lists and expectations...but at the end of the day, these are the only cars in their portfolio they can really ask more for...EVERY other car type they sell they have to discount and discount often for sales. So it's understandable that with the maybe 15 cars (gt3, gt3rs and gt2rs included) that they would want to make up for the money they discount on everything else. It does kind of suck...but if that's the case move to another brand!

From the porsche.com/us website:
*Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price. Excludes options; taxes; title; registration; delivery, processing and handling fee; dealer charges. Dealer sets actual selling price.
Porsche's current trail that will remove the middle-man:

I don’t get it. Corruption would imply dishonest trade practices. You either pay the “market” price or you don’t buy it. Nothing shady here. It’s not like the dealer is being dishonest about the mark up. If you don’t find a deal you want then you wait or you don’t buy. Simple.
