I was wondering the other day how this was going. Keep up the fight and let us know how it turns out. I can't believe it has gone this far. By now they must have spent more in attorney fees than it would have cost them to just pay your dealer to fix everything. Stupid.

Hi Jimmy, glad to hear that people are still interested in this thread. We're going on 14 months now, but things are slowly progressing, and I'm looking forward to having my day in court. I also got pinged with kudos by a fellow Yelp user who also had a bad experience at the very same dealership.

Not sure if you can pm me the name of the dealer, but I'd love to know as well! I won't bring it up in the thread but I do live in NJ and have been hard at search for a CPO Cayenne GTS/Turbo. I mean brakes being warped, that's a safety issue as it could keep you from having optimal braking performance. What type of car did you get?

It’s very sad that the lawyers have drawn this process out. I give you a lot of credit turbopan for sticking to the principles of what is right and wrong. The truly sad part is replacing the brakes at your cost would be easier as well as way cheaper however the dealer should have reprocussion for it’s dishonest behavior. I hope this works out to your expectations and the dealer is held responsible.good luck. I’ll continue to follow

Thanks for the good word, cutter888. DAVfoto, no matter who you get your car from, you should definitely take it to a third party for a pre purchase inspection. The CPO program seems to be a decent extended warranty, but it most certainly does not guarantee that you will receive a car that is trouble free. My experiences aside, there have been plenty of other people on the forums who have experienced similar situations. So, although Porsche may say that CPO is "The safest way to buy a used Porsche", that is most certainly not the case all of the time, and you should have whatever car you're interested in gone through by an independent shop. Best of luck in your search!

Thanks for the update.

Were you satisfied with the result? Did you get "satisfaction" beyond what this whole thing cost you to pursue, or was it just that you felt you made your point?

I guess he agreed to a no disclaimer. So many stories on forums never give an ending. Paul Harvey never did this to us.

I know, right ??
At least tell us 1) Still have the car ? 2) Made reasonably whole ?
As they say, a successful mediation/settlement is when both parties leave equally dissatisfied... :-)

The OP is drinking a diet Coke and eating a McDonald's Value Meal. The lawyer is starting dinner with a glass of Dom Perignon, to be followed by foie gras, prime tenderloin washed down by a fine Chateauneuf du Pape from an outstanding vintage, and the meal finishes with chocolate truffles.
