Default FS: 1999 996 C2 - Arctic Silver/Boxster Red (x-post)

This is a cross-post from the vehicle classifieds (link). A copy of the ad is below.

This is a really special 911. It was a custom order car for the first year of 996 production in Arctic Silver, with the extremely rare and beautiful full leather Boxster Red interior. Everything in the car is factory leather wrapped.

The car is located in Vancouver, BC.
$22,600 USD.

It has all of the best options: Litronic headlights, trip computer, limited slip diff, traction control, sport suspension and GT3 buckets. In my opinion, this is one of the most unique and desirable 996.1s you can find.

It comes with a full binder of maintenance history, bill of sale and window sticker, and was imported from the US two years ago by the previous owner (a fellow PCAer and Rennlister). It has 58,979 miles on it at present, and a valid RIV sticker.

It has been tastefully updated with genuine OEM clear corner markers and tail lights, MY02 wheels and the GT3 leather buckets. See photos.

The LN Engineering IMS bearing upgrade was performed recently at Mantis in Oakville before I brought it with me to Vancouver. They also replaced the RMS and coolant tank, and tested the AOS (good).

There is absolutely no smoke at startup, or at any other time.

Here's a list of the most relevant options:
  • M030 Sport suspension (recently installed)
  • Limited Slip Diff
  • Traction Control
  • Full leather interior in Boxster Red
  • Litronic (Porsche HID) headlights
  • Trip computer
  • GT3 sport bucket seats with engraved Porsche crests
  • 18" 911 MY02 wheels
  • Aftermarket Pioneer bluetooth head unit (original Becker unit available)
  • Porsche Roof Transport system (negotiable)
Cosmetically, the car is near perfect, except for the wheels. They were repainted black, and the paint is starting to peel off, I suspect due to inadequate prep. I managed to curb both passenger side wheels a little, too, so one way or another, they will eventually need refinishing to bring them up to the level of the rest of the car.

I brought the car with me when I moved to Vancouver, but I'm again feeling the pull of a track car, so I think it's time for a change.

It's a stunning car (I drove it once). I love the colour combo.

A steal at this price.

Cool car. GLWS. Is that Boxster Red or Terracotta? From the pics it looks like Terracotta, but it may be the camera flash/sunlight.

Thanks, guys!

The interior is Boxster Red. It's a hard colour to photograph, but it's beautiful in person.

Hmmm. Track car? Like a 951 with a new turbo? :-)

Having been in the 986 world previously, I can say that this is an extremely well optioned 996. The LSD was only an option in 1999. In later years it was saved for the higher performance 996 variants. Its clearly in beautiful condition. Also it is the right color combo!

GLWS!

This car should be sold. A 996 with these miles in this condition for 22 clams? You simply cant get into 911 ownership for much less.

very nice. Not sure if you know, but you can turn and hold the right dial on the cluster to the left or right to get KM/h on the display instead of MPH.

Thanks, guys. Mirek, I did know about the kmh/mph thing, but since I was posting the ad here (in miles and USD) I toggled the display to keep everything in the same format.

Sunday afternoon bump!
