Did you remove the lip to put your RS on there or use race ramps or something else or does it just roll right up?

The RS just goes right on. No ramps needed. The Interseries is a different story and needs 5ft race ramps in addition to the 11ft Trailex ramps. RS is very easy to load.

Yes going to get an enclosed like yours in fact! Come to the 1010ths event at Putnam end of June. I will miss the club race at MOH- out of town, but I had no idea it was going to be moved to July 4th. Should be awesome.

I'm a trailer n00b especially with trailex, one thing I didn't see mentioned are the brakes on this guy?

and if you want open trailer, trailex is the best, followed by featherlight, everything else... well they are not trailex or featherlight......
trust me, i have had oh..... 7 trailers now.... i prefer doing experiments my own way.

Sorry, fixed the ad. It has backing free surge brakes, which Trailex charges more for than the electric brake model by a little. Bearings were repacked and brakes adjusted in April 2013.

I was told by many "experts" that surge brakes were inferior AFTER I bought a Trailex with them. As Scott mentioned, Trailex charges more for surge. Their management swears surge is superior. I had no issue with them. Switched to enclosed with electric brakes this year, and although it's hard to compare because of the big weight difference, I'm not as confident the trailer is going to stop now!

From what I read and have been told by my indy, surge brakes can be preferred since they're simple, self-contained, "maintenance-free", and less prone to failure. They're especially good for lighter loads and at speeds less than 70 mph.
Electric brakes can be nice because you can modulate the braking force, test to see if it's working, etc. Some also recommend them if you'll be towing at 70 mph or above (and heavier loads).
Problems with electric brakes can be continual maintenance and possibility of failure somewhere (electrical connections, etc.). One of the downsides of surge brakes can be trying to back up an incline, for example.
Anyway, very nice Trailex and GLWS, OP. Looks great but a little too rich for me.. Should've bought guardsredcab's but I didn't have a tow vehicle then.
