Part Numbers:
996.362.136.50 ET 52
996.362.140.50 ET 65
They are a big wheel for a 944, but some run them. They were (as you can see from the part number) from a 996 version of a 911. I have seen them on 993s as well and they are obviously modern offsets (for models with ABS). I think they are narrow body specific, so spacers may be needed with "wide body" cars to fill out the wheel wells.

I'm clueless on wheel sizes...would those fit on a 1987 930? I wonder what they'd look like on my car...especially since 16" sizes for 930s are becoming rarer and rarer...

The rear offset is 65mm... so I think this points to a "narrow body" application.
In addition, I think it also indicates a "modern" (ABS) offset.
When I had a 951, it was an 86 and had an early offset (no-ABS).
It required adapters to run "modern wheels."
Not sure if that helps clear things up, but there you go.

just for reference, this is what these are going for in the "real world" and these are only 7.5" fronts.
