FS: 1999 Street Legal Track Ready 911
I bought this car last year after searching for many months for the perfect one. I bought this one from a gentleman who lived in Wisconsin. I had a pre-purchase inspection done at kelly moss motorsports. It's a well known shop, and everything checked out, except needing new tires, and the shifter was loose.
I drove it home and fell in love with the car, I went to an autocross the following weekend and knew from that point forward this car belonged on the track. I had a few BMW M3s that I took to the track, but it had been several years, so I went to track school at thunderhill, and laguna seca with the car so I could learn the tracks, and how to handle a rear engine car.
The car has a total of 6 track days and 2 autocross days. I recently had a half cage built and the interior removed, but haven't had a chance to take it to the track yet, and don't think I will. I had the cage built because things can happen on a racetrack and a $3000 investment is cheap for something that can save your life.
I still have the carpet, and headliner and some of the interior parts, it's street legal and passes smog.
Details:
106,0XX miles
I'm the 4th owner/Clean title in hand
GT3 Aero Kit from the factory ($8000 option from the factory)
H&R springs
Litronic headlamps
BBS RE wheels 18x8.5F 18x10.5R, (very light and strong) budget street tires on the car
and I have 6 rear sets of hoosiers available that I will include 275/35/18 (they're used, but I have yet to use them on the car)
B&M short shifter
Tubi Exhaust (sounds amazing! $3500 new)
IMS bearing upgraded at 78k miles as well as RMS and clutch
Sparco Evo Race seats for both driver and passenger as well as harnesses. ($1500 just for the seats)
Immobilizer and ignition replaced in 3/2011
My intent for the car was going to be drive it on nice days up to auburn, or to the coast on the weekend and a track day once a month.
Basically I wanted a street legal GT3 cup car. However I've had a bit of a career change and I've decided to go back to school.
I'm going to miss this car dearly. I just had the cage and the interior put together at a local race shop, they are finishing up
the interior right now, it was built by a safety engineer, and is easily converted to a full cage if desired. PCA legal.
The only thing the car needs is brakes (just pads) and a driver.

How the car sat last time it went into the shop: They're going to clean up and redo the door panels a bit,
<br> create some new pull latches, powdercoat the floor, and some other finishing touches.
