I also have not put much effort into selling it, but am now stepping it up. Created an Autotrader ad over the weekend (with market price; same pics as Rennlist): http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.jsp?car_id=320109888

Talking to an interested Rennlister at the moment.

Update: Car is still available. Price is now increased to $5500 and is FIRM, since I have had more work done, and plan to do more. This is what I was hoping to avoid, but I can't just let the car sit, and it broke the alternator belt in my last run!

Recent Work Done at a local shop: (I am no longer able to edit the original posting)

1. Vacuum tested intake. Found leak around MAF O-ring. Replaced and re-seated.
2. Cosmetic cleanup of Brake Master Cylinder (rusting exterior) - now gloss black :-)
3. Replaced "blue hose" from Brake Master Cylinder (deteriorating).
4. Found brake pad sensors missing (probably from previous suspension swap at a different shop), replaced - brake pad light no longer on (had come on immediately after suspension swap).
5. Replaced defective relay - some interior lights now work (did not realize I had a delay feature!!!).
6. Replaced all drive belts (not timing belt).
7. Replaced low side A/C service valve.
8. Had 4000 rpm vibration investigated. Mechanic believes it to be clutch related - clutch work is next!
The bad:
Found A/C Compressor to be leaking - will need to be replaced along with dryer (for inclusion of compressor guarantee).
Timing belt should be replaced, and probably water pump too - more due to time than wear.

Hi Michael,

I have not really been playing my luck to know

I am thinking of doing one last serious try via Craigslist and E-bay, then seriously consider either a slow restoration or parting it out. I don't really want it to compete for attention from the silver car, and the silver car keeps telling me it would love to have all those extra parts....

Oh, and the latest - I was going to take it on the trip to Ft. Lauderdale to meet up with Jim Doerr when he was down here (nice four hour drive each way). I went to open the drivers door, and it would not unlock with the key! It will cycle with the passenger door, but still won't open from outside (and something seems to be blocking it when trying the inside handle, so I did not force it). So, I am reading up on locks. Luckily, I have two '81 doors to look at for reference!

Thank you for asking!
