Hope I have answered everyones PMs, it is difficult for me to tell.

In general, here is the scoop on Smarty Cams. These work stand alone and will provide, GPS speed, lattudinal G's (cornering force), longitudinal G's (braking and acceleration) and lap times (can add date and time on the video as well). It has great software to load many tracks from around the country (world) so you do not need to do anything when you arrive at the track, it knows the GPS coordinates of start finish. If you arrive at a track that is not on the list, you carry the camera to the area near start finish and push "fix" on the menu and it will save that as a track, so you do not need to do it on subsequent events. It does not have any downloadable data so you can not look at a data trace on G's or speed.

If you have a Porsche with a "CAN" signal from the ECU (02 and later I think), you can add (hard-wire) an ECU bridge to obtain some engine data, like rpm and throttle position on to the video. If you have an AIM Pista dash you simply plug the Smarty Cam into the back of the dash, toss the beacon, and you have everything available that the dash monitors including brake pressure, which is great on the video.

If you have a 997 or Cayman that uses the Siemans ECU (it may work on others if there are any, but I have not personally tested it), I have a plug and play module that connects to the OBD connector to get some engine data
