1999 Vesuvio Metallic/Savannah Biege C2
Copied from the CL ad.
Forgot Price.... opps... $SOLD!
So I’m putting my baby that means a lot to me. My 11 year son wants to build a car so we’re selling this to get a pre-73 to build ground up. I've spent a lot of time getting this one up to perfect, now it stays in the garage unless I take it out, which seems rare these days.
-1999 Carrera Coupe. 56XXX miles.
-Vesuvio Metallic paint color, rare (I’ve only seen three others, one of which was in real life). In the evening it’s black, in the sun it’s black and plum colored. Beautiful color. Savannah Beige interior.
GHL exhaust, B&M short shift kit. Factory 18” turbo wheels painted graphite grey. 6disk cd changer(never use, prefer the sound of the car!). MPS2’s in front(90% left), Bridgstone RE050 Pole Positions in the rear. (rears have 20%). I was getting ready to buy a set of MPS2’s ($600). I’ve stated the price to reflect the need for rear tires.
Recent New bits (prices reflect part cost only, does not include labor, which would be around $3000):
-Brand new clutch, updated clutch lever arm, c.l.a. pivot point, pilot bearing, throw out bearing (everything you're supposed to do). (Jun10)($1000)
-New “RMS” (rear main seal). (Jun10) ($20)
-LN retrofit IMS bearing update. ($700) (Jun10 If you know the 996, you know what the IMS is)
-New AOS. (Oct10)($140)
-New Mobil 1 Devlac gear oil in transmission (used in GT3 cars) ($60)
-New Porsche Sport pads on all four rotors. ($250) Rotors area at 50% and will last through these pads. Next time you'll replace both.
-Brakes and clutch flushed with new fluid (ATE super blue racing).($50)
-New GT3 Brake Ducts for improved cooling ($20)
-New GT3 console delete.($140) Makes the interior way cleaner and adds more leg room. I doubt you’ll miss the cassette tape holder.
More info:
-No accidents, I’ve had this car for four years and have all receipts from me and the previous owner. The first owner was a lease in NJ. I took great care in this car, maintenance and all items.
-I resprayed the hood after someone keyed the car in Arizona in 2006. There’s rock chips here and there. This car is meant to be driven. Always garaged, when I drive it it’s normally on the weekends through the the canyons out here near Temecula chasing other Porsches and Ferraris. (Reason for rock chips). Reasonable offeers accepted. No tire kickers or joyriders. Serious inquiries only. Open for PPI's and inspections.

Thanks for the compliments guys!
Timing, Timing, Timing.
Here's the car in as the say, "Azione". Lots of guys are impressed how this car handles, I've gotten compliments from a guy in an Exige S, 914-6 race prepped, and the 997S. "What have you done to that car?, or What tires are you using?"

Sale pending... Actually today! Sick to my stomach.
Guy really like the car, said it drove better than all the others he test drove. He's a Porsche guy too.
Felt more comfortable with me selling it than others, I pointed out the issues (dings) etc. Realized I cared for the car. He doesn't want the new set of MPSC's so I'll have to put those up for sale.
I'm going to give him an answer tomorrow.
