993 NB Hollow Spokes - Need Love
SOLD! Thanks.
I'm helping a co-worker to unload some genuine hollow spokes with caps.
P/N 993.362.136.00
P/N 993.362.140.01
18x8 ET52 and 18x10 ET65
All of these have issues with chipped paint or rash. We spun them and found two to have slight bends (maybe 1/4" runout or less) in the inner barrel and two that were marginal - meaning we couldn't tell if there was clearly runout or not. One of the rears has evidence of welding on the inner barrel.
Might work fine for autocross but otherwise it's best to assume that all four need to be refinished/reworked. THESE ARE NOT PLUG AND PLAY.
Condition is reflected in the price but reasonable offers are accepted.
$450 obo (plus shipping if applicable)

The photo you see is of the welded area (likely a crack repair but I don't know). I don't know of anything else that is wrong. I did my best to disclose everything I could learn about them and even spun them on a machine to see if they were true, hence the notes I made in the original post.
My reputation on rennlist is more important than the value of these wheels so I've done my best to accurately describe them. I figured I would offer them up cheap to someone that might want to invest the energy to restore them and have a nice set of wheels for far less than the going rate of $1200 - $1500.
I personally don't like twists so I have no desire to use them for myself, otherwise I'd use them as is for autocross wheels or restore them.
Thanks for looking!

No sweat at all. I don't doubt you. If they're still here at the first of the month, I'll give them serious consideration. I agree. I think that they could be made into some real nice wheels and the offset is perfect for my 951. I'll let ya know. Thanks for posting them up.
