Sale Pending: 1990 944S2 Cab
Recent unexpected large veterinary bill forces me to sell my "spare" 944 project.
1990 944 S2 Cab, 135,500 miles. India Red (Guards Red) with black top and interior. Engine runs flawlessly, shifts well, good clutch. Have 968 door panels that have yet to be installed (these are in almost new condition, no rips, tears, holes or other defects at all).
Paint is so so. At 25ft it looks good, closer than that... Well, we know the story with 944's. Anyway, fenders are all straight, bumpers are perfect, hoods as well. Doors have a couple of dings. CF splitter up front (good condition). No rust anywhere.
Carpet in fair condition, no floor mats.
Drivers seat leather in good shape with the usual stitching defect in the front corners. All motors work on drivers side. Passenger side seat in same condition, but seat back tilt switch needs replacement or repair (motor DOES work). Rear seats are great.
Dash is in perfect condition, zero cracks.
A/C needs charging.
No stereo.
Convertible top works well. No leaks, no rips are tears, modest wear. Some seam glue work needed.
Has Porsche OEM Cup 1 wheels. You'll want to put new rubber on these or sell and replace with whatever wheel you want to use.
Needs belts (we can do these in garage here if you don't want to drive home this way).
Engine is pretty darn clean for it's age, runs flawlessly, pulls very well, no known issues at all. Starts first time, every time. I'd not hesitate to drive this car across the US.
If you are interested in a daily driver for now, or a good weekend use project car (throw a new paint job, carpet set, and top on this and it would be a fantastic car), then PM me and I'll send pics and/or answer questions.
Bargain basement price: $5000. You could part this out and make more money than that.
Car is in Odessa, FL.

I have had numerous requests on the door panels. Thanks for asking.
I will only sell the door panels if the car does not sell in a reasonable length of time. I think the price is a damn good bargain for somebody that wants to restore a car without a ton of effort. Like I said, the parts alone are worth more than $5000 (hell, I could get north of $1000 for the wheels alone). However, if it doesn't sell, I will consider parting it out and will post another thread at that point.
Stay tuned.

I know its a great bargain for 5k. That's how I bought John's 951. Just too good of a deal to pass up. I'd be interested but I'm up to 4 toys now and no more room. Good luck with the sale.

Forgot to mention. The steering wheel is kinda ratty, but I have a spare wheel with excellent leather that I'll be throwing in as part of the deal.
Also, I have 4 metal center caps that are correct for the wheels. Pics won't show these.
Pics are still coming guys. For those that do not frequent OT, I'm dealing with some stuff today that I would rather not have had to deal with...

By chance would you be willing to sell the front splitter separate? I know the price would not reduce your bill by all that much, but every bit will help! I'd be able to drive over there one evening this week possibly, and gladly remove it myself so you can avoid doing the work. I destroyed mine on the way back from Roebling tonight. (I hit an already dead armadillo on I-95 and the whole splitter ripped off and got run over by a buch of trucks)!!! Anyway, I'm looking for a replacement ASAP for the 944 rally in two weekends, let me know if you would like to work out a deal of some sort. PM me if necessary!
