Default 993 cashmere partial power leather seats - $800

Hello,

I am putting for sale a pair of partial power leather seats that came with the 993 I acquired about a month ago. Those were the original seats that the owner decided to replace with 964 seats with black piping.

Seats are currently located in Phoenix, and I would prefer to arrange for local pickup only.

Here are some pictures:

Please send PM if interested.

Thank you for your interest

Renaud

Is there a way to tell from the pictures? I am sorry I don't know the difference.

The current seats in the car have the exact same "power buttons" and it is all electric to adjust the seat so I would imagine it is full power.

I believe yours to be partial power as full power has 2 sets of buttons like yours but each have 4 way arrows to allow power tracks. I think I have even seen 3 sets of buttons the third set controlling the back tilt and lumbars?

I think you are right it seems that moving the seat forward/backward is a manual process not power.

Hi Renaud, It's Monday, so I thought you could use a bump for some nice seats. I was wondering if you knew if the 964 seats the previous owner put into your car needed any kind of modifications to fit in the 993 or if they just slide right onto the stock 993 seat mounts?

I just swapped out my Cashmere 1991 964 seats for full power Cashmere 993 seats and they are a direct bolt in replacement....really easy and a good time to switch out those pesky factory seat rail bolts!

BTW: Still looking for a mint set of Cashmere door pockets. Thx, Mark

Hi Jon,

Thanks for the bump, well mpotvin beat me to it !!!!
Everything looks stock. Any feedback on your 55W HID's? Recommendation for the install? Brand?
I had Litronics on my 986S and my car has the stock head lamps which are pretty weak.

Renaud.

I love my 55W HID's, they are a HUGE improvement and really light your path with no oncoming traffic 'blinding' problems at all. I got them at Retro-Solutions because they had 55W slim ballast kits at 4300Kelvin which is the stock color and also the whitest and brightest for headlamps.

I also upgraded my foglights to 35W HID's using a cheaper kit from DDM and so far, I'd have to say the quality is the same as the more expensive Restro-Solutions kits although they are 4500Kelvin, I can't see a difference in color between those and the 4300K headlights.

Here's a thread I posted showing the fog light install and what the lighting looks like afterward:

The DDM site has great install instructions but they are hard to find. Hopefully this link will bring you there, otherwise try the 'Miscellaneous" tab under products and then go to the DIY list then look up the several 993 install guides for their products.

Yes, and 'exhausting' as well. Probably for both of us ...

Good luck with the upgrade!
