Official Sale Thread of my 17" Cup 1 Wheels *NOW WITH PICTURES!*
My '87 928 will no longer be using it's 17" chrome Cup 1 (C2 Turbo) wheels.
These wheels are replicas. I wish I could say they are straight and true, but Firestone in Richmond, CA notified me that the left front and left rear rims were bent and slightly out of round. They had indicated that these wheels can be repaired to make them round again. This was due to hitting a deep pothole in the road on Interstate 101 in San Rafael. Symptoms of these wheels out of round are a slight vibration from 40-70 mph.
I will be selling all 4 wheels for $250 because of the two wheels that are bent, including the chrome caps with the colored Porsche emblem (this is not hand painted but the real crest). The condition of the caps are flawless. Condition of the wheels are not too shabby either with the exception of chrome flaking off on the driver side rear and a mar that is about 1 inch long thanks to some idiots at Discount Tire in San Diego, CA.
I feel that $250 is a reasonable offer because of shopping around for the cost of repair of each wheel and have been quoted anywhere between $125-$175 per each rim.
I am also selling these because I cannot afford the downtime on my car of sending wheels out to get repaired. I need the car fully funcional and roadworthy as it is my daily driver. It does not mean all 4 rims are bad. I am also tired of maintaing chrome wheels. Too time consuming now....
I will post pictures of the wheels after Firestone takes the tires off of them and when I polish them up again.
Specs:
Maker: FRH International/Hartmann Wheels
7.5" x 17" 52mm offset
9" x 17" 47mm offset
ONCE AGAIN, THE DRIVER SIDE FRONT AND REAR ARE BENT, BUT ARE REPAIRABLE!
If interested PM me and we will talk business. LOCAL PICKUP ONLY IN SF BAY AREA! Thanks
PLEASE SEE BELOW FOR NEW PICTURES WITHOUT TIRES ON RIMS.

The bends in the rim are not visible in pictures. Hell I don't even know if they can be seen to the normal eye; I saw the 2 rims on the balancer and you can tell there is a very slight wobble. As far as cosmetic issues go, the LR has about 2 half inch sections of chrome flaking off along with that inch long mar on the same rim. The camera didn't pick them up due to the reflections, but I would be more than happy to take more pics to present specifics in order to make this an honest sale. I am even going to snap more when there are no longer tires on the rims.
