Default 1986 944 Turbo for sale. $20,500

I lost my job so I have to sell the Porsche.

$20,500 or best "reasonable" offer.

This car is a multiple car show winner. The car won a top 35 award at the 2008Porsches to Oxford event, where a total of 390 Porsches attended. Also, in 2007it won the Grand Champion award at 944 Fest. The car has 61,956 original miles on it. When I bought the car about 2 years ago it was completely stock. I have a large book of reciepts dating all the way back to day one. The car comes with the original window sticker as well.
FAQ:
-Does the dash have any cracks? No it is MINT.
-When was the timing belt, rollers, and water pump last changed? 3 Months ago.
-Does the car have LSD? No it does not.
-Will you take any trades? Sorry at this time I can not.
-Why are you selling? I lost my job
-Does the AC work? Yes it works GREAT... Very cold.
-Has the car ever been in a wreck? Not to my knowledge.
-Are the miles original? Yes they are.
Now I am going to try and go over the list of improvements I have made to this car.

Exterior -
968 Hatch, door handles, and mirrors (All have new paint)
AIR splitter (Front bumper resprayed when it was installed)
Wheels and tires. Mint 3 piece Speedline Daytonas with Brand new Sumotomo tires bought the rims and tires 2 months ago for $3200.00 Tires have about 30 miles on them.
Rear bumper pads removed, holes filled and resprayed
Clear front turn signal and side markers
35% Light window tint

Interior -
Factory Sport Seats
930s Steering wheel
180mph dash cluster
Cluster gauge rings
Turbo shift cap
968 hazard switch
Bray Krause mount
Chrome Halon 2.5lb extinguisher
Boost gauge
PLX wide band gauge
Lindsey MBC
Nakamichi CD player
Turbo script door sills

Suspension -
Koni adjustable all 4 corners
Mono strut bearing
I really didnt do much to it due to the fact I dont have plans to track the car full time or autocross it.

Motor - 343.4 RWHP / 360.0 RW Torque at 22 PSI
The two dyno pulls were done with 102 octane race gas. I run 15-18PSI on 93 octane.
This motor has not been opened up at all. All the mods are just bolt on.
kkk/garret hybrid turbo T04 57 trim

I live 5 minutes from Evansville Regional Airport in Evansville Indiana. I will pick you up from the airport or I will help with the shipping anyway I can. The buyer will pay for the shipping.

The car only has one small dent not even the size of a dime. It is located on the top of the pass fender. I think a mechanic may have hit it with something. The dent did not remove any paint at all.

The car does have one small oil leak that drips about 1 drop every week.
The car has a couple of very small rock chips on the front that have been touched up. Also some small rock chips on the lower section below the drivers door. I am very, very picky when it comes to this car. If you would like high resolution pictures of anything just ask.
I have been a Rennlist member for over 5 years and you can ask anyone on Rennlist who has seen the car and they will confirm the car is in amazing shape.
The car color is Alpine white with a Black interior. I would rate this car a 9 to 9.5 exterior and a 9.5 to 10 interior. Again I am very, very picky.

Waxed and detailed frequently.. Ok all the time.
I have also changed every fluid on this car within the past 1000 miles. Trans, coolant, brake, oil - and I use Valvoline VR1 20w 50 every 3 months.
I have only put 4000 miles on it since I have owned it over the past 2 years. This car has been stored in a garage its entire life.
This is a 22 year old car. With that being said I hope you realize you are not buying a new car off of the showroom floor. But I will tell you that this is arguably one of the nicest 944 turbos you will find in the US.

Its never been in snow, and only caught in a handfuls of surprise rain's. After every drive i always wash the car (by hand) put a coat of wax on it and cover it back up. The garage is heated/cooled so winter time it just sits unless the roads are very dry to allow a quick drive around the block a few times for the fluids to get going. This was a California car for the first 20 years of its life.

There are alot more minor things done that i cant remember, if you have any questions just send me an email at JRobinson33@Gmail.com and i will be happy to help. If you need pictures of anything, let me know.

Car looks awesome. Good luck with the sale. Unfortunately, $20K for a 944 in today's market is, well, a very difficult sell. Your Ebay auction will let you know what the car is worth, even if your reserve is not met. You might get $2,500 more than the highest bid you receive.

Thanks....

So if it only brings 8 grand on eBay then that is what the car is worth???

I doubt it. 10 people bidding on a car has no bearing on what a car is worth.

But yes I know that $20,000 is a crazy price for a 944. The reserve is set at $18,000

Many will watch the bidding and contact you afterwards. I sold my 928 using ebay and sold the car after bidding had ended for $3K more than the highest bid.

The point of ebay is good advertising, the sales often come from real buyers who first want to inspect and test drive the car to verify condition.

If you do repost on ebay I would strongly suggest adding more pics and details.
