I'm sure there is more I've not listed. The car has done low 1:32's on summit on RA-1's weighing 2850. I'm not the best driver, but 1:32's are not bad. While not prepped to the limit, this is a GREAT beginners car, and the price is not bad either.

$8000 OBO!

I'm located in Fairfax Va. and could deliver within reasonable distance. PM me if you want any more details about the car.

thanks
-Ross

AHH! Why can't you wait until after this season? I'm either building one this summer, or buying one to start autocrossing this season (late), and Cup race next season.

The timing is so close...

Default Class?

What class would this car run in PCA. GTS4?

EDIT: I'm curious as to which class you're in as well. You were running it in the standard 944 Cup, right?

How are my boys at IMA treating ya?

The car is a really funny hybrid, and could run in any of these classes.
PCA: SP1, SP2, gts4
NASA: 944 Spec, 944 Cup, GTS
SCCA: ITS

just by changing weight/tires.

I was going to be to cheap to buy hoosiers, so i prepped the car for the spec rules (-100lbs) so i could race it in the 944 cup. I was expecting some good times with the car now that its weight is down but it looks like I'll get the other car before the nasa races at SP.

The car could run in GTS4, but i think it would get destroyed as its not that light nor that powerful.... although after checking the times from summit point last year, you would be in the middle of the pack.

EDIT:
As for IMA they are always good to me. Ivan's driven my car trying to sport it out back when i first bought it, and the rest of the guys are really nice and know a LOT more than i do about these cars.

Ivan, Todd, Zach... those guys are buddies of mine. I worked there for two years before a location change to Norfolk. Glad to hear they're taking care of you.

Again, if you still have this in the summertime for some reason, I'll probably be contacting you. Best of luck!

Odds are the market on 944's is not that great. I'll probably be renting it out to friends up here at summit point. So if you ever want to try it out, come on up.

Yea, the IMA crew is great. Zach really does need a haircut though, but it fits her personality and chris i think is deaf (because he listens to music louder than I do). Either way, the shop does good work and I trust them with my car. I cant wait till they get their new shop, maybe a new website will come with it.

why'd you end up moving? I think i remember Ivan mentioning you at some point in time.

How could i forget Chris... one time, he slapped my hand with a wrench. Hahaha... God, that hurt. He also was the means to me getting a job there in 2004. That guy knows his s*** when it comes to these cars!

I came down to Norfolk to finish my engineering degree, and am moving down to sunny Gulf Shores, Alabama this summer.

I might just give you a holler each time I'm back in the area. I'm pm'ing you my cell number so I don't destroy your thread anymore.

EDIT: I have a source on wheel weights, but it doesn't have available information on the cookie cutters... since you don't have tires on them, have you weighed them to see how much they weigh, out of curiousity?

Alright, well I'm 1/2 way moved into my new town house, and there is only enough space for 1 race car (not even really, but I'm making space for it!). So the car is best offer right now.

I'd take 6.5K for the car, sans LSD trannsmission
