81 928 for $1500, before I part it
I had this sold, but the buyer backed out due to financial and time constrants
I originally bought this to save it from the junk yard, but now it looks like it might be headed back there unless I sell it complete.
Come and get it. It runs, drives and when my clutch was out in my other car last year, I took a 1000 mile trip in it. Its not much to look at but it does run, is reliable, and has never left me stuck, and the ac works, sort of. Its cool (R134). I suspect it has too much oil or needs an expansion valve.
Alternatively if I can pre-sell about $800 in parts off it, I will start stripping it down.
Link to decription and pics.

This car needs a full resto, but it runs, is straight and everything is there.
Pretty much beat up, but it runs, drives and the r134 AC works, sort of believe it or not. Originally this car was a 5 speed and was converted to a 3 speed auto before i got it. I have receipts on the order of 20G done before i got the car. I replaced the water pump, new rollers and a new timing belt. that was about 7000 miles ago in 2001.
The clock says 94 k but the odo is broken, so who knows. Title says exempt.
Its runs and drives and does not smoke. Not the original muffler. Also has an exhaust leak somewhere. I have driven it occasionally, and on a few trips, but mostly it has been sitting in need of a lot of tlc.
Also chrome slot 7 and 8's but the chrome is pretty much shot. Tires are thin.
Silver terrible cheap paint job as can be seen but straight. The front DS corner took a very light PL hit but not bad. Paint is peeling. See photos. Also there appears to have been some work done around the gas door. There is surface rust above the gas door where all 928's rust. No rust on the DS. Some of the interior is stock. The front seats were redone in a black cloth. The rear seats are leather but the tops are shot. Carpet is marginal. Headliner is good.
Dash needs another recover.
Problems, other than cosmetic.
The cruise control does not work.
The power steering has a leak somewhere.
If the car sits for more than a few days the lifters leak down.
Cruising along the car seems to surge a bit. I think this is just a vacuum line. Has an external trans cooler on it
Other than that you are on your own.
First $1500 takes it.
Pictures are here.
